Song choice

I was not in the lesson today however have spoken to Jonny and one of the things that Henry and Jonny did during the lesson was look over The Riot Tapes tracks and have narrowed the choice of tracks down to either 'Photograph' or 'Everythin is Local V2'.

After listening to both and finding the lyrics i feel that 'Photograph' is better track than 'Everythin is Local V2'. This is because it has more imagery and so there will be more images within the music video whereas 'Everythin is Local V"' only consists of three versus, the first of which is repeated last, meaning that there is less imagery available in this music video.

I have an idea of dual narrative for the track 'Photograph'. One side of the narrative would consist of the band playing and performing to the camera and the other would be of the imagery such as the artist walking down the street which links in with the lyrics. These could be interspersed with each other and cut to the pace of the music. Also the lyrics are less natural (in 'Everythin is Local V2' alot of the lyrics are about the dessert and rivers whereas 'Photographs' talks about things such as 'killing time' and this gives more of a surreal image) so more special effects could be used to make the video more interesting to the audience.
