Costume for Our Music Video (Possible)

Here is an initial list (will be added to once our whole group has met on Sunday - 17/10/10) of the costume of all the cast of our music video. This will provide a lot of the mise-en-scene within the video however it will also be added to by: the editing e.g. special effects and lighting.

1) Lead Singer (Emily)

Outfit 1
(Start - recording studio - journey from rehearsal to "making it"?)

Indie Pumps

Outfit 2
Colourful Dresses (influenced by those from "Alice in Wonderland")
Red Lipstick (Add to the vintage representation)
Nail Varnish

Sparkly Dress (Black?)

2) Guitarist (Sam)

• Waistcoat - portraying a fashionable, smart, clean, crisp look which could be imitated by fans/audience 
• Ripped Jeans - provides a good contrast of smart and casual in combination with the waistcoat
• Shiny Shoes
• Smart Shirt / Logo(ed) T-Shirt 

For Example:

  This image will smarten up the genre and then the video he is shown in.

3) Drummer (Sean)

• Chequered Shirt (Coloured) Sleeves rolled up
• Jeans
• Vans

4) Keyboard (Jonny)

• Bright T- Shirt / logo(ed)
• Grey/Dark Cardigan (I do not have this item of clothing, so I have asked a friend to supply one for the purposes of this video)
•  Hat (Trilby)? - I do not want to overplay the costume as it will not seem believable but a small item like this may add to the band's indie (therfore independent and individual) image. Also, if I told the same person to wear a hat and a waistcoat it may seem to contrived. However, if these pieces of costume are given out equally to the band members then it may seem more natural - as if the band themselves have chosen their costume for the video.
